The Sugar Land Skeeters owner, Kevin Zlotnik, noted that the organization is immensely proud of the development. Till the date of the announcement, the Skeeters had competed in the independent ranks at Constellation Field for eight seasons, and recently had won championships in 2016 and 2018. The Skeeters are ready to join Fayetteville (Single-A) and Corpus Christi (Double-A) as the Houston Astros’ minor league affiliates.
